No:1 – Life in an Indian Retirement Village: What Can We Expect?

Aging is one of the most bitter truths of life which is mostly avoided by human beings, us. We always deny the fact that beauty or strength does not stay forever with us. In some cases, aging is annoying and irritating while in others it is a beautiful way to greater wisdom and prosperity. In the changing atmosphere of current society, people are more inclined to deny the truth with their unrealistic mentality. This false expectation often leads the old ones to be ignored and also in some cases, homeless. As there is always a solution to a problem, Retirement Villages & Old age homes come as the solution to the above situation.

In a process to make the older ones feel happy and alive, old age homes have become similar to a home. Old age home is the answer (or we can say that it is the only option) to all the sufferings and pains of a neglected or helpless elder one. These places offer proper care with heartfelt kindness and full responsibilities. Old age homes provide the first needing of a human being that too along with peaceful living.

In an Old age home, a person can expect better care. The old age home also promises security for grown-up adults. They provide perfect care alongside required medical aids. The medical care includes physiotherapy, skin & hair care and other kinds of stuff. If we try to point out all the facilities and benefits of an old age home then the list will be like this: for a daily living we can expect a proper bath on a (which includes tub, shower, or bed as per the requirement), a complete routine checkup on skin and hair care, a usual mouth care. They also provide frequent head wash under nurse assistants (concerned as per the old one’s health status), help with dressing & toileting, full-body care including other health care. As per the medical concerns, we can expect a monthly doctor visit and treatment, reminding the inhabitants to take the prescribed on time, medicinal check-up and recovery observation, giving medical supervision to the patients and keeping track of their health report, and nursing service are also expected during the treatment with the doctor.

Life of a senior at the old age home is always under the observation of administration of the property besides all the personal space they need for themselves. A regular inspection proves their responsibility for the senior citizens and also helps the elder ones to lead a happy life. The atmosphere for the living of the elderly ones also needs to be in consideration. So it is. As we name a few, shower railings and medicinal ready frameworks are good for a house where a senior citizen is supposed to live. From morning exercises to daily outdoor social movements are also available in an old age home for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Adding to all the facilities, there is also a healthy food with enough nutrition for the seniors.
